Event VIP Event – Dinner and Drawing Biennial 2017 Tour 23 Mar 2017 Back Drawing_Room_Heather_Phillipson_Dan_Weill_Photography-2cropped.jpg Location Gallery Drawing_Room_Heather_Phillipson_Dan_Weill_Photography-2cropped-3.jpg Hosted by Drawing Room Patron and Advisory Board member Véronique Parke, guests will start the evening with a tour of Drawing Biennial 2017 by Drawing Room Co-Directors, followed by an in-conversation between Annotations artist Heather Phillipson and Kate Macfarlane. The dinner will take place in the gallery from 7:30pm. Annotations is a series of artist commissions jointly supported by Véronique Parke and Outset for Drawing Room’s Outset Study. Including 6 artists over a 3 year period, each artist undertakes a period of supported residency, researching the library collection to create a work for Outset Study – using the wall, the space, or intervening with the library collection itself. Drawing Biennial 2017 is an exhibition and online auction of over 200 unique works on paper. Participants of Drawing Biennial 2017 include artists Richard Deacon, Mark Dion, Richard Forster, Antony Gormley, Michael Landy, Chantal Joffe, Anish Kapoor, William Kentridge, Julian Opie, Amalia Pica, Francis Upritchard, Julie Verhoeven and many more. The sale of the works, which have been kindly newly made and donated by participating artists, raises vital funds to support Drawing Room’s programme over the next two years. Exhibition: 2 March – 26 April 2017. Online auction: 12 – 26 April.
