Help us shape the next 25 years of contemporary drawing
For 25 years, Drawing Room has championed drawing and its power to help us understand ourselves, each other and our world. Founded by curators Mary Doyle, Kate Macfarlane and Katharine Stout, three mums with a bold idea, we have grown into a unique home for contemporary drawing, bringing extraordinary artists and new ideas to wider audiences and opening up art for families, children and people facing access barriers.
Your support matters more than ever. Drawing Room self-generates 90% of the funding needed to deliver everything we do, including our ambitious exhibitions, learning programmes, community activities and library. Your anniversary gift will help us keep programmes free, develop our library and learning resources and champion the artists shaping contemporary drawing.
Whether you give £100 or £2,500, every contribution helps secure our future and shape the next 25 years of Drawing Room.
Exhibitions and artists
£2,500 will contribute to the production of three inspiring exhibitions in 2027: Sixty Years of Drawing: Phyllida Barlow, Rachel Whiteread and Alison Wilding; Forever Drawing, a group exhibition of young generation artists and a solo exhibition by Huma Bhabha, They Know.
Learning and Access
£1,000 helps support our free learning programme for primary age children who need it the most, family activities and sessions for those living with early dementia, mental health and neurodivergence.
Library & Research Centre
£100 helps develop our free open access unique library and research centre, housing books on contemporary drawing from around the world.
