We very much welcome education and group visits during gallery hours.  If you book your visit, a member of our team will provide an introduction to the exhibition and you are then welcome to spend time in our Outset Study and/or undertake a self-led drawing session in the gallery space.

These visits are offered free of charge (though donations are welcomed) and subject to availability, please email [email protected] to book a group, college or school visit.

Depending on your budget we are also able to commission artists to conceive a project that uses our exhibition programme and/or study collection as inspiration and that forms an inquiry into the medium of drawing, through reference to their own practice. These artist led projects can be tailored to suit the needs of the partnership college, university or school, and often provides participants with their first introduction to professional practice.

Drawing Room's learning programme includes talks, workshops, and artist-led projects, which all extend and interpret our exhibitions. In-conversations and symposia are conceived to encourage dialogue and critical debate and to make a significant contribution to contemporary drawing scholarship.  They provide opportunities for artists and audiences to engage directly in debates around the practice, theory and methodology of contemporary drawing. Events are a distinctive and crucial part of our programme and engage the exhibiting artists with other professionals, see events for our upcoming programme.
