Tannery Arts is a small, independent charity concerned with supporting the professional development of emerging and established artists through the provision of affordable studios, promoting their practice through opportunities to exhibit work, develop projects, generate partnerships with local authorities, private property owners and social housing organisations as well as engage in learning activities.
MEMBERSHIP AND EVENTS COORDINATOR
2 days per week – £26,400 pro rata ( freelance)
This is an exciting time to join our small not-for profit organisation in this new role figure-heading our membership scheme and delivering a strategic programme of events. In this role you will work closely with the Gallery Directors to up-scale our current membership scheme and implement a new programme of ticketed events. This is a new role supported for three years by Arts Council England Catalyst Evolve funding.
Drawing Room is a public gallery with contemporary art exhibitions that expand the parameters of drawing, from the traditional to the experimental. Occupying an old industrial space, we also have a shop and Outset Study library.
We currently present 4.5 exhibitions per year and a limited public programme that responds to the exhibition programme. Our membership and patrons schemes are small bespoke programmes offering privileged access and catering for a wide range of individuals including artists at all stages of their career and high net worth individuals.
In this role you will:
Drawing Room is run by a small team of staff with support from a team of gallery assistants who work weekends. You will be expected to be a team player with the ability to work independently and creatively with limited resources.
