Hammad Nasar on Drawing Biennial 2024

A talk by Hammad Nasar on artists in the Drawing Biennial 2024 on Thursday 20th June 2024.

Hammad Nasar, writer and curator, gave an illustrated talk about the artists that he nominated for Drawing Biennial 2024: Muhanned Cader, Noor Ali Chagani, Paul Maheke, Seher Shah, alongside other artists in the Biennial and beyond. His talk explored the diversity of their practice, bringing drawing into wider conversation around particular projects and exhibitions that he has curated, most recently Beyond the Page, South Asian Miniature Painting and Britain,1600 to Now (2024) and touring; the British Art Show 9 (2021-22); Drawn from Life (2011) and Lines of Control (2005-2013).

Hammad Nasar is a curator, writer and strategist. He was awarded an MBE for services to the arts in 2023.
