Marc Bauer’s Mal Ȇtre / Performance is a new body of work commissioned jointly by Drawing Room and De La Warr Pavilion and is the artist’s first solo exhibition in a UK public gallery. Bauer’s chosen medium is drawing which he uses in the exhibition to make small and large scale works on paper, a wall drawing and an animation.
This exhibition guide features two reproductions of a selection of Bauer's works in Mal Ȇtre / Performance and an essay, 'On the Sea: Thinking About Marc Bauer's Artistic Practice' by art historian, curator and writer Dr Raphael Gygax.
The publication accompanies the exhibition Mal Ȇtre / Performance and was designed by London-based multidisciplinary design studio Wolfe Hall. Edition of 750, 19 pages, two colours, printed by Taylor Bros.
