COMPOST is an independent art publication showcasing creative work from a wide-ranging network of artists, performers, academics, writers and collectors.
Cave or castle, house or hut. From architectural folly to modernist cube, this issue deals in Dream Homes. Dwellings, in other words, where things get lodged – poltergeists, ornaments, possessions. Kith, kin, and interloper gathered around the hearth. Bloodlines carried forwards or blood simply shed. Tiny paintings in the doll’s house, hanging skew-whiff. A witch in the attic, a slip on the stairs.
