The Guildhall’s Ubu Ensemble will perform John Cage’s Sixteen Dances, his first composition using chance operations, followed by Terry Riley’s minimalist masterpiece In C. This event coincides with Everything we do is music, a major new exhibition that explores how Indian classical music has inspired modern and contemporary artists. Cultural, musical and art historical context will be provided by Professor Simon Wills, Ubu Ensemble, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Jacqui McIntosh, Exhibitions Manager, Drawing Room.
