Deme Georghiou Open Studio

30 – 31 August 2019 : 12:00pm – 6:00pm
Deme Georghiou will be in conversation with curator Grant Watson on Sat 31 Aug, 3-4pm

Drop in to Drawing Room to see new work by Bursary Award recipient Deme Georghiou, artist in residence at the gallery throughout August.

Deme Georghiou's interest in material exploration includes painting, acrylic and plaster reliefs and metalwork, with drawing acting as the foundation to these processes. With an interest in archaeological artefacts and civic sculpture, Georghiou intends to utilise the unique architecture of Drawing Room’s gallery space to create site-specific works that are ambitious both materially and in terms of their scale.

Join us for a drink and the opportunity to see what Georghiou has been working on during his time as artist in residence in Drawing Room's gallery space.

For more information on the Bursary Award please see here.

For information about the in conversation event, please see here.

This event is free and there is no need to book.
