Join us for a day of Risograph printing where we will focus on playing with multiple colours and textures with Nanami Takeuchi – NanaSometimesDraws, an artist obsessed with riso printing.

During this workshop, Nanami will share her experience, tips and enthusiasm for layering up colours using both analogue and digital methods to help guide you in creating your very own A3 four-colour Risograph print.

Discover how a playful approach to colour can lead to unpredictable, exciting results. As well as experimenting with different textures and how they translate when Risograph printed.

Nanami will be share her own process, and which is inspired by woodblock prints, and we’ll explore how we can try and get as much out of a minimal colour pallet, studying colour charts and the RISO works of others.

All abilities welcome

Nanami Takeuchi, NanaSometimesDraws, is an illustrator inspired by Japanese mythology and folklore to explore her heritage, creating new narratives for well-loved and lesser-known mythical creatures. She has been obsessed with RISO printing since she first tried it out in 2019. From prints to zines, she enjoys seeing how the lines and textures translate to print in these bold fluorescent colours, depicting cute and slightly gruesome scenes.
