Join us for a fun and welcoming Sunday drop-in session for LGBTQ+ families! Explore playful drawing activities in a relaxed, art studio environment, led by artist Lily Ash Sakula (they/them).

This hands-on session is designed for caregivers and children of all ages to enjoy creating together.

While you’re visiting – don’t miss our Window Gallery exhibition of Pride Banners from Southwark Pride 2025!

This is an inclusive event for anyone who identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community, and their family! Parents, adoptive parents, co-parents, carers, foster parents — all are welcome! No matter how your family is formed, this event is for you. We celebrate every kind family structure in a warm, friendly space.

Light refreshments will be provided, but feel free to bring snacks too!

This event is a collaboration between Drawing Room and the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre.

About the Artist:
Lily Ash Sakula is a multi-disciplinary artist working in animation, illustration and sensory experimentation. They make collaborative work that link different generations and communities; creating space for chaotic fertility and collective brilliance. Lily is interested in capturing instances of joy, flashes of excitement and glimpses of practical utopias; creating magical spaces in which social norms can be broken. They seek through their work to be an active practitioner of radical hope.
