Katrin Henkel has formed an extraordinary collection of paintings and drawings from old masters to contemporary artists. She has a deep passion for drawing and her collection is focussed on the portrayal of the artist, at work, in the studio. For Henkel drawing reveals what an artist is thinking, and she is keen to ensure drawing is made visible. Some of her recent acquisitions and commissions include Lisa Brice, Ali Kazim and Barbara Walker, Turner Prize nominee 2023. Katrin Henkel is an ardent collector, patron of the arts and involved with multiple art institutions, including the National Gallery, TATE and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Katrin has dealt in Old Master drawings for 30 years and was a partner at Colnaghi until the Gallery was sold in 2015. To attend, please RSVP to [email protected]. If you would like to attend this event but are not yet a member, we would be delighted if you would support us by joining us a Drawing Circle member here.
