DRAWING MATTERS: Curating and Collecting

Drawing Biennial 2019

Location

Gallery

A panel discussion webinar hosted by The Arts Club for Drawing Circle and Drawing Network members, with Drawing Room Founder-Directors, Mary Doyle and Kate Macfarlane, and Louisa Buck, Contemporary Art Correspondent for The Art Newspaper.

For artists today, drawing is no longer supplementary or secondary, but valued as a stand-alone medium and process. Drawing Room has been a substantial player in this changing status through its ambitious exhibitions, publications and participation programme.

Twenty years in the making, Drawing Room is a world-renowned non-profit institution, presenting exhibitions of drawings from around the globe. The panel will discuss their vision for this unique institution and explore how the current pandemic has thrown a spotlight on drawing. An art form accessible to all, it has proven itself as the adaptable, provocative and questing medium we know it to be.

Drawing Circle and Drawing Network members should RSVP to [email protected] by Monday 15th June to reserve their place.
