Join artist Caroline Areskog Jones to discover the medium of lino printing.

 

As a fish draws in the sand or a foot casts a print beneath, an opportunity to make a series of small relief prints in this 2 hour workshop inspired by the exhibition ‘Listening to the earth’ :

After a brief introduction to the process, tools and materials involved, guidance and demonstration will develop initial drawings to be cut into a plate, then transferred onto a surface through gentle hand pressure.

There will be time to add to the initial design and explore different outcomes.

No previous experience is necessary and all materials will be provided with a selection of papers and two colourways available for each person attending.

 

About the artist:

Caroline AreskogJones is a Royal College of Art Print MA Graduate (2019) with a practice seen as fieldwork: a gathering, recording and set of human responses to our contingent environment in material form.
