This class explores the relationship between the body and drawing through various lenses — abstraction, dissection, distribution, and emplacement. It examines hybrid forms of bodily representation through medical imagery, anatomical drawing and architectural cut-throughs, incorporating layered drawing techniques inspired by anatomical transparencies. Participants will imagine ways bodies can be constructed across different media and spaces, tracing lived bodily experiences and interweaving them with drawing practice. All levels welcome, including beginners. All drawing materials will be provided such as pencils, pens, pastels etc. It is not required that you bring any materials with you, but you are welcome to do so if you wish. The class will accommodate max. 20 people. We will keep Drawing Room Invites… open later than normal especially for this event, so that you can visit the exhibition during a break.
