Abstract Drawing Listening Group

An informal session providing an opportunity to discuss sonic themes in our current exhibition Abstract Drawing.  The group will be led by Abstract Drawing artist Emma McNally, and researcher and artist Seth Guy.  As a starting point for the discussion we will use short extracts from texts by Deacon, Toop, and Voegelin and will listen to sound works by Alvin Lucier, Steve Reich, Francisco Lopez, Charles Hayward, Kevin Volans, and Ryoji Ikeda.

Two of the audio pieces have kindly been lent to us for the session by the artists Francisco Lopez, and Charles Hayward.
