In two decades Drawing Room has grown from modest beginnings into a world-renowned institution that presents exhibitions of drawings from around the globe. Our move, in the next year, to a purpose-built gallery in Bermondsey, southeast London, begins an exciting new chapter in our history.
Drawing Room’s permanent home will be a welcoming, open-door hive of creative activity—both an international hub for the latest thinking around drawing and a neighbourhood gallery that uses drawing to connect our work with artists and local audiences. Drawing is the springboard for innovation; Drawing Room’s exhibitions, unique Library and Research Centre and Participation Studio will encourage artists and the public alike to use drawing to experiment, make ambitious artworks and take risks.
Our secure home will provide opportunities for Drawing Room to sustain a year-round exhibition and events programme, artist-run projects, free at the point of delivery for families, school pupils, teachers, and community groups, as well as multi-artform events.
To do this we need your help.
