ROCK PAPER SCISSORS: Joy Yamusangie

Flatpack is the second iteration of our ongoing postal project that engages children remotely. Envelopes of drawings and collage materials are being distributed via schools for children to take home, encouraging self-led drawing in the home!

Joy Yamusangie has devised activities exploring ‘Who Am I?’, through simple prompts and questions that ask children to think about colour, skin, hair, and facial features as starting points for drawings. The returned artworks will be made into a series of postcards for the children to keep, share, swap and post!

‘It’s a wonderful opportunity for the children to develop their creative skills and Joy has supplied such an exciting range of materials for the children to use. We look forward to sending you the results!’ - Vanessa Mincher, Deputy Head, St Johns C of E School
