Drawing One Hundred was a fundraising event to launch Drawing Room. Over 150 artists were invited to to make a drawing for the event for which visitors were invited to make sealed bids. Thanks to the generosity of all the artists Drawing Room raised significant funds which will directly benefit Drawing Room’s exhibition programme and education activities. The event provided an opportunity for visitors to purchase a unique drawing, made especially to mark the launch of Drawing Room, by a range of established and emerging artists including; Sue Arrowsmith, David Austen, Basil Beattie, David Batchelor, Adam Dant, Ian Davenport, Antony Gormley, Hew Locke, Langlands & Bell, Julian Opie, Rachel Whiteread, Alison Wilding, Bill Woodrow and many others.

Drawing One Hundred opened at Drawing Room on Friday 9th May 2003 from 6 to 8 pm, during which guests were invited to make sealed bids for the drawings, with a starting price of £100. The exhibition was open to the public on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May, 11 am to 6 pm.
