Jo Applin is an art historian specialising in American art since 1945, with a particular emphasis on questions of gender and sexuality. Her books include Eccentric Objects: Rethinking Sculpture in 1960s America (Yale University Press, 2012) and Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirror Room-Phalli's Field (MIT Press, 2012). She is currently completing a book on the American artist Lee Lozano. Hélène Vandenberghe is an art historian, an Advisor for The Institute for Artists’ Estates and manages the Estate Philippe Vandenberg, Brussels. The evening will also mark the launch of the publication to accompany the exhibition Crossing the Circle, works on paper by Philippe Vandenberg.
