Hammad Nasar on Drawing Biennial 2024

Hammad Nasar, writer and curator, will give an illustrated talk about the artists that he has nominated for the Drawing Biennial 2024: Muhanned Cader, Noor Ali Chagani, Paul Maheke, Seher Shah, alongside other artists in the Biennial and beyond. His talk will explore the diversity of their practice, bringing drawing into wider conversation around particular projects and exhibitions that he has curated, most recently Beyond the Page, South Asian Miniature Painting and Britain,1600 to Now (2024) and touring; the British Art Show 9 (2021-22); Drawn from Life (2011) and Lines of Control (2005-2013).

Hammad Nasar is a curator, writer and strategist. He was awarded an MBE for services to the arts in 2023.
