About the work

Like many people, felt-tip pen would have been my introduction to drawing in vivid colour – to me it still feels a seductively intimate and bold medium. This piece began as an observation of a domestic space but soon became about the rhythm and punctuation of the drawing itself: dotted blues, curling turquoise and darting lines.
