About the work

This year I started making studies with oil pastels on paper. I enjoy how crudely colour can be applied and mixed directly on the paper. This is not too dissimilar to how I use colour as a material in my sculptural practice. I draw forms which show connection points and void spaces; considering depth and layering which helps me when I return to 3 dimensions.
