About the work

This is a drawing made after a series of large photo prints of the same title. As ever, I wanted the work for the Drawing Room to be “real drawing”—truly searching and messing around. Oil paint on photosensitive paper resists the developer and is later wiped off. The red line drawing on top is a trace monotype. The dancer is Molissa Fenley and I’m drawing her from a grainy old video.
