Deborah Levy’s 2021 book ‘Real Estate’, provided inspiration with her reclaiming of the term ‘high horse’ and ‘An Intelligent Woman’s Guide to Dirty Words: Volume One of the Feminist English Dictionary’ (1973) offered further animal metaphors which ‘Natural History’ explores.
