During gardening sessions, Jessie and Setchell Estate residents foraged daffodil leaves that were later combined with cotton and sisal pulp to make handmade paper. The papermaking was done in collaboration with artist Mandy Brannan, who taught Jessie the process and produced half of the 311 sheets which were exhibited in Unbuild: a site of possibility (22 September – 10 December 2023). This has led her to work in solidarity with people in public housing estates and community gardens, among other places. Her authored books include Re: development (2016) and Regeneration! (2015). Since 2022, she is Tutor (Research) in Visual Communication at the Royal College of Art.
