About the work

This is from a series developed over the years using found paper, usually from flea markets or boot sales to describe found objects unique to a particular place. A small empty box picked up near my studio gives the work its form and title, while the spray paint literally blurs the line – I want the drawing to retain a haptic reminder of the object and to be both not-quite sculptural and not-quite pictorial either.
