About the work

This drawing is one of a series of works I have made over the past year while caring for my mother. Combining both her and my medication, the work becomes a double portrait. The formal shape of the pill strips initially evoke minimalist compositions and forms that, when misshaped by human interaction, speak of human experience and highly subjective narratives.
