About the work

The drawing is from an ongoing series of works – drawings, canvas works and installations titled Thirteen Chapters, which is a meditation on notions of conflict. In the group of drawings from which this image is taken, sequences of marks, encoded signs and inscriptions in different ways map the imaginary sites and spaces in which a metaphysical violence is acted.
