Andy Harper Out-front Year 2023 Medium Indian ink on card Dimensions 27.4 x 19 cm About the work Since the early 90s I have made drawings and paintings that relate to my engagement with the sea. The ability to read the surface of the sea is a key aspect to surfing, and learnt experientially over time. This example was made last year with a brush and indian ink in my studio on Porthmeor Beach in front of the large window that overlooks the current conditions, it was a spring tide and the waves were reaching the wall of my studio.
