About the work

Concentration of colour, focus, framing. A crop, swatch, clipping, snippet of another image/surface, maybe massive or small. A contraction of sky/ an enlargement of a photograph of sky/ fire/ tiger/ toast? Developed through an understanding of abstraction as the condition of being pre or post discernible focus. Also just an enjoyment of warm colour and mood.

Born 1989 London, Anna Paterson lives and works in London. Graduated from BA Fine Art, Central St Martins School of Art, London (2012); and Post-Graduate Diploma, Royal Academy Schools, London (2016).
