About the work This drawing contains elements taken from Gillian Wise's (b. 1936) pages in the Systems exhibition catalogue (Whitechapel Art Gallery, 1972). I have combined this with a set of watercolour rectangles, marker pen and pencil diagonals and sections of collaged graph paper. Wise is under-appreciated and under-valued. Along with many British Constructionist and Systems artists (she was one of only two who took part in both groups) her work is currently being re-evaluated. This small series of drawings are my way of being a fan and also doing a little bit to keep her name in the public imagination. Date and country of birth 1982, PK
