About the artist

Born 1969 Toulouse, Caroline Achaintre lives and works in London. Graduated from Vordiplom Fine Art at Kunsthochschule in Halle/Saale (1998); Postgraduate Studies Fine Art in Combined Media, Chelsea School of Art & Design, London (2000); and MA Fine Art Goldsmiths College (2003).

Achaintre’s works are held in public and private collections including the Tate, and the Arts Council Collection.

Selected solo exhibitions include Permanente/Permanent Wave, CAPC, Bordeaux, and touring to Fondazione Giuliani Rome, M.O.C.O Montpellier, and Belvedere 21, Vienna (2019-21); Scanner, Arcade, London (2019); Dissolver, Dortmunder Kunstverein, Dortmund (2018); Duo Infernal, Art:Concept, Paris (2018); Caroline Achaintre, BALTIC, Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead (2016); Caroline Achaintre, Tate Britain, London (2015); and Present/Future, Illy Prize, Castello di Rivoli, Turin (2014).
