About the artist

Alex Frost (b. 1973, London) studied at Staffordshire University and  Glasgow School of Art. Frost works with a variety of materials and styles and recent work highlights the tension between the Minimalist tradition of modular repetition and the gestural quality of the hand-made. He was awarded the Phynance Residency, 2015. Selected solo exhibitions include: The Patrons, Cove Park, Argyll & Bute, Scotland (2014); Reproduction, Glasgow Print Studio Gallery, Glasgow (2014); Future Spotters, Wewerka Pavilion, Münster, Germany (2013); The Old & New Easterhouse Mosaic (&everything in between), Platform for the Arts, Glasgow International (2012); The Connoisseurs, Dundee Contemporary Arts, Scotland (2010).
