‘Fake’ is one of many pencil drawings made by the artist.  It relates directly to her new film ‘Blood’ which was a joint winner of the Jerwood/FVU Awards 2015.  The nose becomes the locus of transformation and metaphor in this Surrealist film which uses the phenomenon of Albanian sworn virgins as an exploration of sexual identity. The film  was shot in Albania using untrained actors – young women who could be themselves in a film that explores sexual identity.
