Eclectic Projects The Student as Medium 2 Nov 2020 – 6 Jan 2021 Back The_Student_as_Medium_Image-1.jpg IMG_1499-1.jpg IMG_1631-1.jpg Over a series of virtual workshops, students were invited to explore their subconscious through experimental forms of research, drawing and animation processes to embrace the otherworldly, the spiritual and chance encounters! They produced a series of one-minute films using automatic drawing processes and chance as part of their methodologies – using dice or flipping coins as decision making tools. The films below we screened online. I saw moths, bodies and bones. An unintentional narrative shone through when we were making and receiving the film. Caleb, Student We created a randomisation process to make decisions which meant we weren’t controlled to discover ideas. It became a fun way to create sound and moving image.
