THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED
Calling all teachers, artists and educators to our event exploring the possibilities of drawing, costume and performance.
This Teachers’ Assembly will reveal the transformative processes behind Drawing Act II, a school intervention led by artist Alexis Teplin with Charlotte Sharman Primary. A film screening and voice recordings will reveal the childrens' experience of the project, followed by the opportunity to get hands-onwith large scale mark-making and wearable drawings! The session will be co-led with Year 5 teacher James Hartley, exploring multiple possibilities for collaborations between artists and schools.
This is the second event in Drawing Room’s new Teachers’ Assembly series, which seeks to break down the distinctions between artist and teacher, studio and classroom, and promote drawing practice as a central part of creative pedagogy in schools.
