Gallery

An informal discussion group looking at physical, visual and aural ways of exploring our built environment, using extracts from theory texts, film and sound works as the starting point for the conversation.

Works considered will include texts by Situationist International theorist Guy Debord, composer and writer R. Murray Schafer, and artist and writer Pablo Bronstein.  We will be listening to sound works by John Smith, field recordings from the London Sound Survey and extracts from Andre Tarkovsky’s film Stalker.

The event will be led by researcher Sarah Ryer, and is part of a series of events coinciding with our current exhibition Drawing Room.

Texts will be sent to all ticket holders in advance of the evening.
