Drawing Circle private visit to the V&A Prints and Drawings Study Room

Mon 30 October 2017 : 6:30pm – 8:00pm

Drawing Room is pleased to offer Drawing Circle members the privileged opportunity to see a number of works in the V&A Prints and Drawings collection for an event kindly hosted by the museum especially for members.

Gill Saunders (Head of Prints at V&A) and Dr Ana Debenedetti (Curator of Paintings at V&A) will give us the unique opportunity to gain an insight and view a variety of works in the V&A Prints and Drawings collection by taking them out of storage for one evening only, while the galleries will be closed to the public. During this intimate event Drawing Circle members will be able to admire works from the Renaissance to today by: William Blake, Samuel Palmer, Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione, Giulio Romano, Alison Lambert, Peter Paul Rubens, Anthony Van Dyck, Frederic Sandys, Aubrey Bearsdley, Wyndham Lewis, Raoul Dufy, Michael Craig-Martin, Peter Peri and more.

To make this event even more special Drawing Room has invited a number of artists to attend and respond to the works in an informal conversation with the curators.

The event is part of Drawing Room's exclusive events programme for Drawing Circle members. If you wish to join the Drawing Circle and access our private events please contact Silvia Denaro or visit our join page.  PLACES ARE STRICTLY LIMITED
