Eldret’s drawing 'Stat after a percentage after a drawing # 1' (2013) starts with an abstract oil-stick image made by the artist. She has analysed the image to calculate the ratio of dark and light areas, matching this data with existing geopolitical statistics. Eldret’s drawing relate to her ongoing interest in contrasts between free action and rule-bound behaviour, manifest in drawings, performances, installations and film works.

Employing a series of layered colour fields, Goss waits for the precise moment at which a work's potential is apparent, but nothing more. The drawing 'blue house' is taken from an ongoing series of work that will be shown in a solo exhibtion at the Simon Preston Gallery, New York, opening 10th October 2013.
