Browsing Tips:

There is page for each work; at the bottom of the page you can return to the previous image, or go onto the next.  This saves you returning to the thumbnail image page.

Maximum Bids:

You are more likely to be the winning bidder if, when you place your bid, you also place a maximum bid i.e. the maximum amount you are willing to pay for the work.  Maximum bids are not visible to other bidders and the auction website will automatically place bids on your behalf, using the automatic bid increment amounts, and notifying you with each increase. The automated system will bid only as much as necessary to make sure you remain the highest bidder, until it reaches your maximum bid. If another bidder exceeds your maximum bid you will receive an automatic notification by email.

For example:

You place a bid of £250, and a maximum bid of £1,000
Bidder no. 2 places a bid at the next increment - £300
Your bid is increased automatically by £50, to £350, and you receive an automatic notification
If no one else bids for the work, it is yours for £350
If additional bids are placed our system will automatically increase your bid by £50 increments, notifying you with each increase, to make sure that you remain the highest bidder, until bidding reaches your maximum bid.
You will be informed by email when our system places a bid on your behalf and when your maximum has been outbid.
