John Timberlake:

John Timberlake (b. 1967, Lancashire) lives and works in London. Timberlake studied at Brighton Polytechnic, the Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program and Goldsmiths College London, where he completed his PhD in Fine Art in 2012. Recent solo exhibitions include: We Are History, (a Beaconsfield Commission) Beaconsfield, London (2014); Paysages conçus pour les drones, Galerie des petits carreaux, Paris (2014); and After London (a collaboration with the art historian Joy Sleeman) at Stephen Lawrence Gallery, Greenwich, 2011). Group exhibitions include: Catalyst: Contemporary Art and War, Imperial War Museum North, Manchester (2013) Diamond Armour, ARTicle Gallery, School of Art & Design, Birmingham City University (2012); Ron Haselden / John Timberlake, Galerie des petits carreaux, Paris (2012); Dark Sky, Te Pataka Toi Adam Gallery, Wellington, New Zealand (2012); Drawing 2011 Biennial, Drawing Room, London (2011); Fraternise - the Salon, Beaconsfield, London (2011); Cafe Endlager, Geschaftshaus GmbH, Stuttgart (2010); Use & Mention, Stephen Lawrence Gallery, University of Greenwich, London (2010),; and Breakthrough: works from the Collection, Imperial War Museum, London (2009). Bussard Ramjet,an illustrated fiction, was published by Artwords/Artis Den Bosch in 2009.  Collections include the Imperial War Museum, London, The West Collection at SEI, Pennsylvania, and private collections in Belgium, England, France, Germany and New Zealand.
