David Haines:

David Haines (b. 1969, Nottingham) is a British/Dutch artist based in Amsterdam. Haines studied at Camberwell School of Art, London and The Rijksakademie, Amsterdam. He works with a range of media, predominantly drawing and video. His work is featured in the publications Vitamin D2, published by Phaidon; Drawing People by Roger Malbert, published by Thames and Hudson; and Interdisciplinary Encounters - Hidden and Visible Explorations of the work of Adrian Rifkin, published by I.B.Tauris. Awarded the Jeanne Oosting Prize in The Hague (2012). Select solo exhibitions include Discoveries, Art Basel HK; The Armory Show NY; and Upstream Gallery, Amsterdam. Select group exhibitions held in Amsterdam include the Stedelijk Museum; De Appel; The Film Museum; and the New Art Space.  Select group exhibitions in the UK include Turner Contemporary; MIMA; Fruitmarket Gallery; Bristol Museum; and the Bluecoat, Liverpool. In 2011 he exhibited as part of the 12th Istanbul Biennial.
