Danny Rolph:

Danny Rolph (b. 1967, London) lives and works in London. Studied at Winchester School of Art, and at the Royal College of Art, London. Rolph is an internationally renowned artist best known for his multi layered Triplewall and canvas paintings. His paintings construct their grammer of signs through material engagement and unprincipled investigations into the history of the 'pictorial', locating endless questions with attitude and visual dexterity. He recently completed a large installation for Facebook HQ and is visiting Professor in Fine Art at Bucks New University. Select solo exhibitions include Painted on the sky, Barbara Davis Gallery, Houston (2016); Recollection, 532gallery, Thomas Jaeckel, New York (2015); Paradiso, Barbara Davis Gallery, Houston (2014); and Atelier, E.S.A.D, Valence, France (2013). His work is held in private and public collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
