Richard Wilson:

Richard Wilson (b. 1953, London) lives and works in London. Studied at the London College of Printing (1970-71); Hornsey College of Art (1971-74); and Reading University (1974-76). Wilson has represented Britain in the Sydney, Sao Paulo, and Venice Aperto Biennials, as well as the Yokohama and Aichi Triennials. Awards include nomination for the Turner Prize on two occasions. Residencies include the prestigious DAAD residency, Berlin (1992/3). Wilson was elected a member of the Royal Academy (2006) and was exhibition co-ordinator for the Summer Exhibition (2016). Major projects include Turning the Place Over, his contribution to Liverpool’s European Capital of Culture (2007); and his sculpture commission for the New Terminal 2 at Heathrow Airport (2014).
