Francis Upritchard:

Born 1976 New Plymouth, Francis Upritchard lives and works in London. Graduated from Canterbury University of Fine Arts (1997).

Upritchard a sculptor but drawing is a big part of her practice. It’s a place to note down ideas and experiment without the hassles of gravity, costly materials and time-consuming 3D processes. For her this often evolves into playing with colour and texture on the paper, without a care for its connection to sculptural form.
