Richard Grayson:

Artist, curator and writer Richard Grayson (b.1958) studied at East Herts Collage of Art and Design (1976-1977) and at Newcastle upon Tyne Polytechnic (1977-80). He was founder Member of The Basement Group and Projects UK, Newcastle upon Tyne (1979-84).  From 1991-98 he was the Director and Curator of The Experimental Art Foundation, Adelaide and artistic director of the 2002 Biennale of Sydney. Grayson has undertaken several Artist Residencies including International Studio Programme, Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin (2003-04), ArtPace, San Antonio, Texas (2009), Centre for Contemporary Art Znaki Czasu (CoCA) Torun, Poland (2010). Recent exhibitions include the include the First Kiev International Biennale (2012), The Magpie Index, Matts Gallery London (2012), The 2011 Sydney Biennale, The Objectivist Studio, Alma Enterprises London (2011), The Golden Space City of God, Kunst Museum Thurgau Switzerland 2010 and Matts Gallery 2009. The De La Warr Pavilion presented a five-year retrospective of his work in 2010. The artist is represented by Matts Gallery London and Yuill/Crowley Sydney.
