Jonathan Allen:

Born UK 1966, Jonathan Allen lives and works in London. He graduated from MA Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art, London (1989), and PhD Fine Art, Kingston School of Art (2017).

Allen’s artistic practice encompasses works on paper, photography, videos, performance and writing. His alter ego, Tommy Angel, is a fictitious evangelist and magician through whom Allen explores themes such as religious faith, secular magic, parody, and provocative entertainment, examining the religious and political unconscious of our time.
