Kate Davis and David Moore live and work in London and Edinburgh respectively. Davis is a senior Tutor and Fellow in Sculpture at Royal College of Art, London and Moore is a Lecturer in Sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art, Edinburgh University. Alongside distinguished individual careers, the two formed ME/WE Productions in 2010, after collaborating on a super 8 film The Cut for the Arnolfini which was short-listed for the Swedenbourg Short Film Award (2011). Since then they have collaborated on a number of public projects, exhibitions and residencies. Davis and Moore spent the summer of 2013 on an artist’s residency at the Cornelius Foundation in the South of France working on the relationship between writing poetry and making collages. They also completed Double Pelican -a collaborative experiment which was the first artist residency at StudioRCA, an RCA project space at Nine Elms supported by St James Group. Afterthought I was the first in a series of drawings made during this residency, questioning the relationship between language and image. They worked with Futurecity on a large scale public art commission for Riverlight, a Rogers + Stark development in Nine Elms, London.
