About Mark Wallinger:

Mark Wallinger (b. 1959, Chigwell) lives and works in London. Graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London, London (1985); and Chelsea College of Arts, London (1981). Awards include the Turner Prize for his installation ‘State Britain’ (2007). His work ‘Ecce Homo’ (1999–2000) was the first piece to occupy the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square. Wallinger represented Britain at the Venice Biennale (2001).
